About Us
Tidd Funeral Homes & Crematory is family-owned and operated. Founded by Rick & Arlene Tidd in 1981. They have two children, Joshua Tidd, who graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, and Shelly Tidd Baird, who graduated from The Ohio State University, both are licensed Funeral Directors working with their father & mother in all 4 locations. With a solid reputation for family values, the Tidd family makes it a priority to serve the communities with care & compassion. For over 43 years, Tidd Funeral Homes has served the communities with loyalty and integrity. In February of 2008, we welcomed the Porter-Tidd Funeral Home into the Tidd Funeral Service family. This establishment has served Mt. Sterling, for over 50 years. In 2014 we welcomed the Rader-McDonald Funeral Home into the Tidd Funeral Service Family, this establishment has served West Jefferson for over 100 years. In 2019 we opened a new location, Tidd Funeral Home, 9720 State Route 161, Plain City, OH.
